August at New Ground Cafe`

Spinach and Ricotta ``Raviogi`` with Caramelized Crab Apple and Leek

Blueberries are ripening in the North. Saskatoons are juicy and sweet on the Prairies. Garden vegetables take centre stage on menus at home and in the restaurant. This month, I`m featuring heirloom recipes and dishes...flavours of days gone by. Chutneys and relishes, cakes and pies, savoury soups fragrant breads. Meals that would have satisfied a threshing crew or fed a hungry family. Food from the land, nourishing and delicious. Bring a recipe or two! I`m happy to trade.

August Hours:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursday: Supper at 6 p.m. by reservation only. $20 per person, includes 3 courses, coffee and a cold, non-alcoholic homemade iced tea or lemonade
